DAN started his career in the mid-1980s at the age of 18 as a DJ for Parisian parties. He began working in radio in 1986 on a small FM station named Decibel 107.5 in Morangis, a city in the Parisian suburbs. This radio station already had a 100% Black music format, focusing on Funk & Soul. In 1989, DAN joined TRANSAT FM and the “ARCHIPEL DU FUNK” team. With the team already in place, DAN helped turn this show into a legendary program in Paris, alongside Mark (Transitalia, Radio Show), DJ Kaze, DJ Bronco, Lord Funk, Pascal, and many others. When TRANSAT FM’s frequency was withdrawn, DAN joined EFM 88.2 and, after 6 months, was given responsibility for the evening programs. He then brought the entire “ARCHIPEL DU FUNK” team to the station, which soon became GENERATIONS 88.2. This radio station has since become one of the most listened-to Hip-Hop stations in France. DAN left GENERATIONS 88.2 in 1996 to join ESPACE FM, another Parisian radio station dedicated to 100% Black music, where he stayed for 2 years. DAN was in charge of the R&B, Soul, and Funk radio show on Saturday evenings from 8 PM to midnight. Many years later, with the rise of web radios, DAN embarked on a new adventure with Soul Factory Radio (2018/2019), which became RNB1 at the beginning of 2020.
