DJ and presenter of “CHILL VYBES” radio show
DJ Kayus Baby, composer, producer, and musical arranger, began his career in 1996 by doing the warm-up for DJ IGNASE at Folie’s Pigalle in Paris. A promising start, this turntable virtuoso soon appeared at numerous Parisian events in nightclubs such as L’Assemblée, Le Triangle, and Le Dupleix, where he handled the Show Case and After Show for Alfonzo Hunter.
Recognized for his ability to set the dancefloor on fire, he became the DJ for Label 357 Records in 2000, a resident DJ at L’Opus Café with DJ Ling Fizz, a resident DJ at the “Slow Club” on Sunday evenings with DJ Noise, and the DJ for the After Show of R. Kelly’s concert at L’Opus Café, as well as for the After Show of Das EFX’s concert.
In 2001, he collaborated on Cut Killer’s show “BOMBRUSH” on Skyrock for the French rap segment with “OSFA”. He also opened for Cut Killer’s tour with “OSFA” across the provinces. As Label 357 Records gained prominence, he participated in the four-track maxi (featuring Kennedy, Sinik, and Buffalo Soldier) and supported the label’s artists, including Diam’s, on their provincial tours.
In 2002, he joined MC Solaar’s team and was invited to participate in the tour for the album “5e As.” That same year, he DJed the Show Case for “Jérôme Prister” at VIP and at Les Bains, and opened for Cut Killer’s provincial tour as well as for “La Brigade” at the Elysée Montmartre.
